“YTF has taken my introvert child and empowered her to be a leader both on the field and off. It’s also taught her the meaning of responsibility. She has transformed from not wanting to be seen or acknowleged to becoming president of the CCST student board. Shooting sports and YTF gave her the opportunity to develop those leadership qualities.
As a YTF coach, I have been given extensive education and knowledge to do more than teach these kids how to compete. YTF has given me the tools I need to develop young athletes and grow this sports within our community.”

“Before YTF our son had never tried shooting sports of any kind. Through YTF our son Jackson has found his passion. He has assumed leadership roles, made goals for himself and is constantly challenging himself in positive ways in the shooting arena as well as in his everyday life at home and school. We will be forever grateful to the YTF for cultivating these qualities in our son.”

“In September/October of 2014, Nathan brought home the Northwest ISD Clay Target Team flyer and said he wanted to tryout. Mind you, he had never shot a shotgun before (we were from California and all). At that point he began attending practices and made many great friends. RD, the coaches and the team took Nathan under their wing and changed his perception of Texas and has made great friends.
Nathan has a new passion in life and told me on the way home this week that he does not know what he would be doing right now without shooting. He would not be where he is today without Coach RD, Woody, Dan as well as the rest of the Northwest Clay Target team (an organization and people with class). It would be remiss of me if I did not thank all of you at YTF for all that you do to not only help kids become shooters but also in helping them become better people.”

"For my son becoming a member of the Youth Target Foundation and participating in its various activities was a great experience for him. Competing in the 5 different categories that the members are required to shoot in has given him a well-rounded education that he will be able to utilize far into the future. Because of his experience with the YTF, Chance intends to continue competing at NSCA-NSSA events and participate on a college team at ACUI competitions. One of the best experiences my son had at YTF was the opportunity he had to earn one of the many Scholarships that YTF awards annually for college bound seniors."
